Bear Creek Camp 2009

You wouldn't think that there would be too many places for camping in Iowa, but lucky for us there is a beautiful area at Bear Creek Camp just for that! You actually feel like you are in the mountains. We just got back from the cubscout family campout and had so much fun! These are the few pictures I took before everyone arrived. With me being the person in charge I didn't really get around to taking more pictures. Or maybe it was just pure laziness on my part, whatever the reason it was a relaxing, fun time hanging out with family and friends:)

These are the handcarts that they have at camp to transport all the camping gear. The kids have fun using them for handcart races too! They have platforms for the tents to go on, I'm assuming because it rains so much in Iowa and to help keep you from getting wet. And that big army painted shelter in the background is where we go if there is a tornado.

The boys setting up camp.

The rope swing...Kohen could swing on this for hours!

Kaden was trying to reach the top of the trees on the rope swing.

Regan and I also made our first ever dutch oven cobbler, and it was yummy! (Thanks mom and dad for the dutch oven set)we will definitely be making more next time we camp. The kids had fun playing in the creek, playing tug of war and staying up late by the fire.

Did you say you were being lazy? I don't think that word fits in your vocabulary. Looks like a fun place to camp. You always take such good pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Love ya lots!
